Petrol Price has always been a hot topic among the people and specially the political parties. But we just talk about it and no one do anything to control the the prices.
Mr. Satish, A 45-Year-old man who hails from the capital city of Telangana, “Hyderabad”. He had a dream to do something to curb pollution and help people and he lived up to it.
He found a solution to the increasing plastic pollution and rapidly increasing prices of fuel. In 2015, he started a plant where he converts dead or non- reusable plastic into crude oil. This crude oil is further refined to produce diesel, high-speed diesel, and petrol.
He Says “when plastic is made, it gets a life of four or five cycles. That’s what they call recycled plastic. However, after repeating the process a few times, it gains weight and it loses its properties. Then it is called as ‘dead’ plastic or end-of-life plastic.”
Further, he explained that the process of converting the dead or end-of-life plastic in the fuel is called “De-polymerization”. The plastic is a polymer and has to be de-polymerized to convert in into the fuel.
Explaining the process of De-polymerization he said “Dead plastic is transferred to a large vacuum chamber along with other ingredients and then heated up to 400 degrees Celsius. Heating can be done by induction, microwaving, or Infrared. Due to the heating gasification occurs and an inline distillation system that he set up, separates petrol, diesel, and high-speed diesel. The by-products of the reaction are petro-gas and petroleum coke”.
He claimed that the process is safe, controllable, and environment friendly. The most amazing part is the process is non-polluting one and it has got the nod from PCB (Pollution Control Board).
His chimney doesn’t have any chimney as the entire raw material (dead plastic) gets converted in the fuel and even the by-products get in use.
As per the reports his factory produces 200 liters of petrol every day by converting 200Kg of dead plastic.
